Good Shepherd Manor’s Meet A Manor Need: Para-Transit Vehicle
At our recent Brunch Auction we shared the opportunity to support Good Shepherd Manor’s Meet A Manor Need. We are blessed and grateful for all of the donations that we have received!
In case you missed it, here are the details. This year’s Meet A Manor Need is a Para-Transit vehicle that accommodates 4 Wheelchairs and 8 Passengers or 2 Wheelchairs and 12 Passengers. This certified, pre-owned vehicle is a necessity for our residents.
Within our community of 13 homes and 105 men, our residents rely on para-transit vehicles to navigate through daily life, accessing essential services, and exploring the world beyond our campus.
Yet, our current fleet faces the relentless march of time. Aging and burdened by the weight of wear and tear, these vehicles now demand more than routine maintenance as they require rejuvenation. Our residents deserve reliability and safety on their journeys, both within our community and beyond its borders.
Now, thanks to a very generous donor every dollar that is donated will be matched up to $45,000. So far we have raised over $37,000. With the match our grand total is over $74,000.
